Within the framework of the Manager Training Program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) another economic cooperation took place. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and the ICUnet.Group organized the so-called Completion Stay Days for female entrepreneurs from South Africa and carried them out successfully in Germany. Building B2B contacts between South Africa and Germany was the focus of the business days this time. The managers took part in individual B2B meetings and consultations, professional exchange of experiences, lessons learned and best practices for successful cooperation. During the virtual program phase, two entrepreneurs from South Africa came together and developed the idea of a new wine concept, which is “same but different” in the sense of diversity.
As part of the Theme Days, the female entrepreneurs and managers visited the Wellness Hotel Holzapfel in Bad Füssing, msg systems ag and 4process, two IT companies in Passau, and the production facility of Stela Laxhuber GmbH in Massing. Guided tours of the respective companies, insights into technologies and new business strategies – these topics were on the agenda.
A workshop on Africa and B2B consultations rounded off the extensive manager training program. In the B2B consultations, which took place at the business premises of ICUnet.Group, the participants researched possible B2B options to get an overview of product placement and pricing of their product categories in german companies. At this point, a big thank you to our business consultants Debora Guerrero Liera, Marinda Seisenberger and Thilo Beyer for their commitment!
And last but not least – the cultural program was not neglected. The businesswomen visited the old town of Passau and the museum in the “Veste Oberhaus”. The city tour on the Danube and Inn visualized the Passau history previously shown in the museum.
We are happy about the contacts that the motivated South African female managers made in Germany. At the “last minute” a contract could even be signed. We wish all participating female entrepreneurs much success in their future business activities in Germany!
We would like to thank the GIZ and our partner dtic as well as the German companies, Wellnesshotel Holzapfel, msg systems ag, 4process and Stela Laxhuber GmbH for the excellent cooperation.
